Karela Khatta Meetha
Ingredients
Bitterguard (Karela) -100 gram
Tomato – 3
Onion
Jaggery – 100gram
Curry leaf
Panchaphutan
Oil as required
Salt as required
Directions
- In a pre-heated Kadhai or pan add some oil
- add panchaphutan
- add curry leaves
- add chopped onion and fry till onion turns light brown
- add chopped tomato and fry
- add 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- add 1 tbsp cumin seed powder
- add salt as required
- mix well and cook till tomato mix starts dissolving
- Now tomato starts dissolving , add chopped bittergourd
- add 2 full cup water
- Mix well or stir it well
- add jaggery ( break jaggery into smaller pieces )
- Cover the pan or kadhai
- In the meantime keep stiring the recipe
- wait till recipe starts boiling
- For best : Wait till 70–80% water evaporated from recipe
